This policy covers two apps operated by Neologism Limited ("we", "us"):
NutriLion — a nutrition and weight-tracking app for individuals, with Leo, an in-app AI coach.
NutriLion Pro — an app for nutritionists who work with NutriLion users who choose to connect with them.
It explains what information each app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can remove it.
Information we collect
If you use NutriLion
Account information — the phone number you sign up with, and your name.
Health & body data — height, date of birth, sex, activity level, and any weight, body-fat or waist measurements you log, including photos or files of body-composition reports you add.
Dietary information — allergies, diet preferences and restrictions you add to your profile.
Food & meal logs — meals you log, including photos you take of food for the photo-scan feature, and the nutrition figures produced from them.
Chat messages — your conversations with Leo, and, if you connect with a nutritionist, your conversations in their chat.
Nutritionist connections — which nutritionists you have chosen to connect with, and when.
App preferences — language, unit preference (kg/lb) and time zone.
Notification token — if you allow notifications, an identifier for your device so we can send them.
If you use NutriLion Pro
Account information — your name and phone number, and the professional title and registration details we record when we verify you.
Practice settings — whether you are accepting new clients, the languages you work in, your invite code and notification preferences.
Your AI coach settings — the name, approach and preferences you write for your AI coach.
Messages — what you send in your clients' chats.
Notification token — if you allow notifications, an identifier for your device so we can send them.
How we use this information
Everything above is used solely to provide the apps' core functionality: tracking meals, weight and goals; generating nutrition estimates from photos or descriptions; powering chat replies from Leo and from nutritionists' AI coaches; helping nutritionists draft replies to their clients; and sending notifications about new messages. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing with your nutritionist
NutriLion never shares your information with a nutritionist unless you choose to connect with them. Before you connect, the app shows you exactly what they will be able to see. Once connected, that nutritionist can see:
your meals and meal photos, including your history;
your weight, goal and progress, including your history;
your chats with their AI coach, and messages you send them.
They cannot see your chats with Leo or with any other nutritionist. You can stop sharing at any time from the nutritionist's page in the app; their access ends immediately. Nutritionists on NutriLion are verified by us and are required to keep their clients' information confidential.
Third-party processing
AI provider — meal photos, report photos and chat messages, together with a short summary of the relevant profile and log data, are sent to our AI provider solely to produce a nutrition estimate, a report reading, a chat reply or a suggested reply for a nutritionist.
Cloudflare — the apps' infrastructure (data storage, photo storage and backend processing) runs on Cloudflare.
Notifications — notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Apple's Push Notification service. They contain only who a message is from and a short label (for example "Replied to you"), never the message itself.
Sign-in providers — if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, those providers process only what's needed to authenticate you.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists, so the app can show your history and progress over time.
Deleting your data
NutriLion: you can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app. This immediately and permanently removes your profile, goals, weight history, meal logs, photos, chat history and nutritionist connections — this cannot be undone.
NutriLion Pro: Pro accounts are set up by us, so to close one, email dev@neologism.cc and we will delete your account and the information listed above. Your clients' own records stay in their NutriLion accounts.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Each nutritionist can only access the clients who have connected with them.
Children
NutriLion and NutriLion Pro are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. Continued use of the apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
